Jay Rouse
Jay Rouse is widely recognized as one of today’s leading arrangers, orchestrators, and producers in the choral print industry. A distinguished keyboard artist and composer, he has created a substantial catalog of more than four hundred choral octavos and over fifty best-selling choral musicals and collections. His work appears in the catalogs of a variety of leading church music publishers.
A committed worship leader, Jay is passionate about guiding choirs and congregations toward a deeper understanding of worship as a way of life. He and his wife, Amy, frequently lead worship weekends across the country, working directly with choirs and music ministries.
Jay’s career has included significant collaborations with many respected artists. He toured extensively with Sandi Patty as her Music Director and accompanist, performing throughout the United States and internationally, including appearances in London, Japan, Korea, and Carnegie Hall. He has also worked with Bill and Gloria Gaither, the Gaither Vocal Band, Kristin Chenoweth, Kathy Troccoli, Buddy Greene, and VERITAS. He has also served as a music publishing executive and music editor.
Jay currently serves as Artist in Residence at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City, where he is an active member of the church’s music ministry.
Jay and Amy live in Edmond, Oklahoma, and are the parents of two children, Thatcher (married to Ingrid, with son Saint) and Londyn, all residing in Edmond.
