Keith Christopher has created a splendid Christmas masterwork that brilliantly combines two popular Handel choruses. It opens with an ingenious pairing of Handel's famous chorus from Judas Maccabaeus with the text from his carol, Joy To The World! It concludes with Handel's Hallelujah chorus, transposed down a step to C Major. Alternate endings in the first section make it easy to perform these separately or together as desired. A trumpet obbligato adds a festive touch, while parts for triumphant brass and timpani are also available.
