Our first songwriting team has again combined their talents to bring us an exceptionally moving piece perfect for Good Friday or Lent:" And all the world was silent when Christ came forth to die. The sparrows ceased their singing, the sun had left the sky." Although scored for Two-Part Mixed voices, some passages are deliberately assigned to higher or lower voice parts, lending a soloistic quality to the work. The piece closes with a quiet prayer for Christ's mercy. An optional oboe part is included in the score.
