Canticle for Easter
Item Number: 00-32393
Format: Choral Octavo
Voicing: SATB
Words by Christopher Wordsworth and Joseph Barlowe
Music by Franz Joseph Haydn (Quoting Mozart's "Alleluia")
Arranged by David E. Williams
In this festive Easter anthem, David E. Williams combines both Haydn's beloved hymn tune Austria and portions of Mozart's Alleluia. The effect is thrilling. Optional brass sextet (3/3) and timpani make this anthem one that, though not difficult, will stay with choir and congregation long after the "Alleluia!" has faded.
