Song of Thanksgiving is a masterfully created concertato on a hymn by Julia Bulkley Cady Cory (1882-1963), We Praise Thee, O God, Our Redeemer, Creator, using the tune KREMSER, based on a Dutch melody arranged and adapted by Eduard Kremser (1838-1914). In this arrangement, Hal Hopson constructs a dynamic "festival hymn" for choir with descant, organ, solo trumpet, handbells/handchimes, and congregation. The parts for solo trumpet, handbells/handchimes and congregation are included with this anthem and can be found beginning on page 14. Additionally, the congregational part is reproducible.
